ARB Apex Bank to introduce new product

Awutu Bawjiase (C/R), Sept. 5, GNA - The ARB Apex Bank in collaboration with rural and community banks, would introduce savings and current accounts for big town dwellers in rural and community banks in their hometowns by the end of the year.

Through the System called "Efie Ne Fie or Home Cash, one can also buy shares of any rural or community bank of his or her choice. The Managing Director of the ARB Apex Bank, Mr Emmanuel Kwapong said this in an address read for him at the 15th Annual General Meeting of the Awutu Bawjiase Area Rural Bank at Awutu Bawjiase on Saturday. Mr Kwapong said the first product called "Apex Link" through which money could be transferred from on location to the other within a very short time, considering the dangers and risk of carrying money from one distant location to another, was achieving a fruitful results. He, therefore, encouraged all Ghanaians to patronize the "Apex Link Money Transfer" product in their business transaction.

Mr Kwapong said the Apex Bank has taken the necessary steps to facilitate the provision of vital support services to the rural banks. He said branches of the Apex Bank had been opened in Takoradi to provide services to the rural and community banks in the Western and Central regions, while two more had also been opened in Bolgatanga and Kumasi.

Mr Kwapong advised strongly that election of persons to serve, as directors should be devoid of favouritism and nepotism, since it is only through experience, skill, knowledge and competencies, that the bank could achieve its overall corporate objectives.
