Africa World Airline (AWA), a regional and domestic flights operator, has partnered five service providers in the hospitality industry in order to offer a holistic travelling experience to the Ghanaian travelling public.
Katherine-Lois Tosan Woode, Head of Commercial Sales, Revenue and Marketing for Africa World Airlines (AWA) said: “With the start of Takoradi flights, Africa World Airlines is offering a five for one deal to our clients. We’ve concluded start-up agreements with five partners to join forces in giving our customers the best of both worlds with our mutually shared standards of excellence.
“We are pleased to announce three partner hotels, each with their own unique and target market; one business customer-focused establishment; and one of our many very trusted travel partners.
“These agreements represent a step-change for the aviation industry. We feel this is much bigger than each of us and offers travel ease, whereby passengers can pay one fee to our hotels and ticket prices will be included -- or speak to their relocation consultants and obtain tickets from one shop.”
The innovative partnership follows commencement of the airline’s flights between Accra and Western Regional capital Takoradi this month, and the official opening of an office at the Takoradi Airport.
AWA’s three-time per week Accra-Takoradi flights are operated on Embraer ERJ 145LR aircraft, among the most efficient and fastest modern planes.
“With Johkad Travels in Takoradi, a new form of consolidator travel allows all travel agencies to either ticket independently or in conjunction with each other to ensure smooth flow of flight itineraries for all.
“To this end AWA is pleased to unveil a new way of picking up a ticket in Takoradi, and that is via our new flagship AWA Touch Shops which you will find on the serene beaches of Busia at the Busia Beach Hotel; on the shores of the Atlantic at the Best Western Atlantic; and within the plantations of the Western Region at the Planters Lodge.
“Expat Solutions Ghana is our 5th and newest partner that offers travel solutions to all persons requiring quick services while they try to get settled in Takoradi,”she said.
“The biggest benefit, of course, will be the vastly expanded opportunities to our customers in regard to matching, updating, and upgrading our key service standards. To this end and with the reciprocity of sales, it will afford customers the chance to benefit from our growing database of over 11,000 members in our Fly4Free frequent-flyer programme.
“By receiving your Unique Profile Number, you become our top priority with speed and service the next time you make a booking. By flying only 4 times with AWA the client benefits with a fifth free ticket, and today we also introduce a corporate instant Fly4Free programme to give great new incentives to our own signed-up as well as travel agency-managed corporates.
“Takoradi, as a new destination for Africa World Airlines, represents an exciting new growth market for Ghana as we take on another phase in our Oil and Gas journey. We feel that confidence has been boosted and this is the time to be a part of history, and I am certain that Africa World Airlines is the airline of choice for all discerning travellers as we reiterate our commitment to enhancing connectivity within Ghana,” she said.
