At this year’s Ghana Business Conference, Abel Lomotey Daitey, Chief Information Officer at GCB Bank, delivered a compelling keynote on the critical role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of business.

Held at the prestigious Accra City Hotel, the conference, themed "AI as a Driver for Business Growth: Key Imperative for Decision Makers," brought together leading industry experts to explore how AI is revolutionizing business landscapes.

In his keynote address, Daitey underscored AI's pivotal role in driving innovation and ensuring business sustainability. He declared, "AI is a game changer, and its integration into business processes will determine the success of businesses, making it the survival of the smartest."

Daitey’s insights highlighted the transformative potential of AI in enhancing operational efficiency, improving decision-making, and fostering growth. He stressed that businesses that harness AI effectively will gain a competitive edge, while those that lag will struggle to keep pace with the rapid technological advancements.

Throughout the conference, other distinguished speakers engaged in discussions about the practical implications of AI. Kojo Amissah from CITAM addressed concerns about AI-driven job displacement, while Anita Arthur from CFAO Ghana Plc. advocated for AI as a tool that complements rather than replaces human effort.

The conference also featured panel discussions with industry leaders like Kwadwo Ntim from GhIPSS and Esi Mmirba Wilson from Consolidated Bank of Ghana, who echoed Daitey’s sentiments about AI’s significant value in business operations and growth.

Paul Ayim, Partner for Digital Learning at pcl., expressed satisfaction with the conference's outcomes, emphasizing the shared insights and networking opportunities that will drive future innovations.

"We are thrilled with the success of this year's Business Conference. The insights shared and connections made here will undoubtedly drive business growth and innovation," Ayim noted.

The conference marked a significant step in advocating for AI as a key driver of business success, with Daitey’s keynote serving as a powerful reminder of the technology’s impact on the modern business environment.

It was organised by pcl. in collaboration with its partner, LRMG Africa.
