AccorHotels announces the opening of its economic design and lifestyle brand, in Accra, the capital of Ghana. The network of 37 hotels of the ibis family (ibis Budget, ibis hotels & ibis Styles) in Africa perfectly meets the emerging countries’ needs.
ibis Styles: Character and a variety of styles
Within the ibis family, consisting of ibis and ibis budget, ibis Styles distinguishes itself by a unique and creative design for each hotel. Mainly developed under franchise, ibis Styles offers an all-inclusive package combining the charm of independent hotels with a unique design and high-quality service and expertise.

ibis Styles Accra Airport is owned by TGL Properties Ltd, a Ghanaian company composed of 12 leading entities of the real estate, industry, and human resources sector. Founded in 1974, the Trasacco Group is one of the key actors in West Africa.

Each ibis Styles hotel provides its own architecture, a unique, modern and vibrant style and a relaxed atmosphere which are the characteristics of the ibis family brand.
ibis Styles Accra Airport features 192 air-conditioned rooms. The guests will benefit from an all-inclusive package including the room, unlimited Wi-Fi and breakfast.
The generosity of the brand is also illustrated with extra features such as a bottle of water in the room and complementary self-service of coffee, tea and mineral water throughout the day.
Doubling the network of the ibis family hotels
Africa is a high potential market for the development of AccorHotels. The group already has 94 establishments in 17 countries in the luxury, high-end, mid-scale and economic segments.
The network of 37 ibis family hotels in Africa perfectly meets the needs of emerging countries that witness both the emergence of a middle class and the development of a business tourism.
The network will pursue its growth with the opening of more than 20 ibis Styles Hotels in Angola. They will be located in all provinces of the country, including smaller cities, establishing a nationwide network like the one in France, Brazil or Indonesia.
According to Antoine Guego, Senior Vice President for AccorHotels in Africa & Indian Ocean, “doubling the number of ibis family hotels in Africa by 2020 is in line with the aim of doubling the network of all AccorHotels brands in Sub-Sahara Africa”.
