Accra, April 13, GNA - Gains in 10 equities on the Accra bourse on Tuesday continued to buoy the Ghana Stock Exchange All-Share Index enabling it to climb by 63.88 points to 6,080.16 from the previous 6,016.28 points.
Change for year was also up at 71.11 per cent.
Aluworks (ALW) and The Gambia (TBL) gained 1,000 cedis each to close trading at 12,000 cedis and 19,000 cedis, respectively. Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) continued its impressive surge since its Annual General Meeting (AGM) with a gain of 205 cedis to close at 16,205 cedis while Mechanical Lloyd Company (MLC) had 200 cedis appreciation at 2,200 cedis British America Tobacco (BAT) and Cocoa Processing Company (CPC) gained 50 cedis each to close trading at 7,350 cedis and 1,450 cedis, respectively.
Societe-General Social Security Bank (SG-SSB) gained 20 cedis at 28,020 cedis, while Camelot (CMLT) had five cedis at 670 cedis. Unilever (UNIL) gained three cedis at 19,203 cedis while Home Finance Company (HFC) inched up by two cedis to close trading 9,402 cedis.
Total number of shares traded was 138,300 with Aluworks off-loading 60,000 shares while 46,900 shares of Cocoa Processing Company changed hands.
Nine other equities sold shares.
Market Capitalisation went up to 19,051.50 billion cedis from 3,160.22 issued shares.
