Accra Mall, Open for Christmas

The management of the Accra Mall has performed a lighting ceremony to officially launch the Christmas shopping season at the mall. The occasion was also used to outline the programmes scheduled for the festive season. This includes a Santa’s grotto, a night of carols, movie night with the kids, live band performances, a night with Kojo Antwi and many other events to make the Christmas experience memorable for the whole family.

In addition, the mall will be open from 10am-opm daily from December 10-31. According to Moses Luri, Marketing Manager of Accra Mall, the extension would afford everyone the opportunity to shop at a time most convenient to them.

Performing the lighting ceremony, Mr Joseph Owusu Akyaw, Chairman of Intercity Hotels (owners of the Accra Mall), expressed great joy about the establishment of the mall and the role it has played in satisfying the needs of customers in the first year of its existence. He added that the Accra Mall is poised to deliver unbridled shopping experience for customers. Mr Stephen Allotey, Board Director of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a special guest at the event praised Mr Akyaw for his vision to provide a shopping mall in the centre of Accra that compare favourably with any shopping centre in any part of the world. “This signifies a move from mediocrity to expanded vision”, he added.

Mr Allotey also commended the property managers of the mall, Broll Ghana Limited for keeping the mall in excellent condition all the time. “I have no doubt that if as a nation we continue this way, we could soon become the trade centre for West Africa just as Dubai is gradually becoming the trade centre for the whole world”. He also called on the anchor shops, particularly Game and ShopRite to give loyal customers great Christmas bonanzas.
