Accra bourse continues to slide

Accra, Jan. 6, GNA - A 10-cedi loss by pharmaceutical stock, Starwin Products Limited (SPL), led to a slide of the Accra bourse in another quiet trading on Friday.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main market index, dropped by 0.22 points to 4,725.07 points, bringing down the change for the year to -0.922 per cent.

Total shares traded stood at 27,900 from Thursday's 49,900 shares. Market capitalisation also went down at 91,740.94 billion cedis from 91,741.51 billion cedis.

On the broader market, there were two price changes, one up one down.

SPL lost 10 cedis at 570 cedis while Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited gained one cedi at 7,752 cedis.
