Accra, April 18, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange had an impressive run to end the week on Friday with the benchmark index, the GSE All-Share Index, going up by 87.42 points.
The index closed the session buoyed by gains from Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) and Standard Chartered Bank at 8,833.32 points.
Change for the year to date now stands at 33.84 per cent. Traded volumes for the session stood at 1,605,300 shares with CAL bank alone accounting for 1.5 million shares. On the broader market there were three positive price changes. ETI gained GH¢ 0.04 at GH¢ 2.00, Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC) was up GH¢ 0.01 at GH¢ 1.84 and Stanchart (SCB) went up GH¢ 0.03 to close GH¢ 26.80.
Market capitalisation closed the session up at GH¢ 14,576.18.
