Accra, Dec. 14, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange closed lower on Monday, pulled down by price losses in Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), State Insurance Company (SIC) and Unilever Ghana Limited (UNIL).
As a result, the GSE-All Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance on the Accra bourse, fell by 7.18 points to close at 5,237.28 points down from 5,244.46 points.
Monday's drop brings the year-to-date loss to 49.79 per cent. Traded volumes closed the session at 109,520 shares, with CFAO, leading with a sale of 60,000 shares.
On the broader market, there were three negative price changes. GCB lost GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.74, SIC was down by GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.29 and U= NIL dropped by GH¢0.01 at GH¢3.40.
Market Capitalisation ended the session at GH¢15,522.03 million.
