Accra, Sept. 29, GNA - Total shares traded on the Ghana Stock Exchange took a nosedive on Monday when it dropped to a low of 33,400 shares from 161,300 shares. The market was generally characterized by inactive trading that saw the All-Share Index, the main market indicator gaining two points to open the week at 2,643.34 points from Friday's close of 2,641.34 points. Change in the year fixed at 89.44 per cent. In the broader market, there were four price changes - all positive. The Trust Bank Limited (TBL) of the Gambia and SSB Bank Limited continued their gaining spree making 50 cedis and 47 cedis to finish trading at 7,600 cedis and 10,100 cedis, respectively. British-American Tobacco Company and Guinness Ghana Limited gained a cedi each to close at 2,702 cedis and 4,101 cedis, respectively. Market capitalization opened the week at 10,305.23 billion cedis from 10,300.19 billion cedis.
