Accra bourse jumps up on big ECOBANK gains

Accra, Oct. 30, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All Share Index jumped up in trading on Tuesday on appreciable gains made by the two ECOBANK equities - ECOBANK Ghana and ECOBANK Transnational - but volumes were low.

The GSE All-Share Index was 10.49 points better at 4,973.33 points from 4,962.84 points and change for the year went up to 4.28 per cent from 4.06 per cent.

ECOBANK 375 cedis was better at 12,550 cedis while ECOBANK Transnational gained 150 cedis 8,750 cedis. Total shares traded were lower at 47,100 from 141,500 on Monday but market capitalisation was better at 111,588.61 billion cedis from 111,524.32 billion cedis on Monday.
