Airtel Ghana supports Village of Hope

On the 5th day of Giving, Airtel Ghana through its employee led 12 days of Giving initiative made a cash donation to the Gomoa Fetteh based Village of Hope Orphanage to put smiles on the faces of children from the home during the Christmas festivities in line with the Changemaker company’s commitment to spread the joy of the Christmas this season.

Village of Hope is a private NGO owned by the Church of Christ Ghana. It has been in operation since 1996 and currently caters for 260 children.

Hannah Agbozo, Legal and Corporate Affairs Director, Airtel remarked, “Christmas is a season of giving and we find great joy in supporting the Village of Hope Orphanage. This orphanage was chosen by one of our employees to benefit from our 12 Days of Giving initiative and it is our hope that the children from Village of Hope, will have a fantastic Christmas as a result of this intervention”.

Kwaku Sarkodie, a representative of the orphanage home, expressed his gratitude to Airtel Ghana saying, “We truly appreciate the immense support we have received from Airtel Ghana over the past years. Airtel has been a friend to the orphanage over the years and has shown so much love to the children of the home. We hope your business will thrive so you’ll continue with the goods works you are doing”.

The 12 days of Giving continues its journey of spreading the love and joy of the season to enrich lives and transform communities across the country.

Airtel is Ghana’s fastest growing telecommunications network. The company has won several awards in Corporate Social Responsibility including a recent award by the Institute of Public Relations for Best Community Relations programme.
