On the 2nd day of Airtel’s ‘12 Days of Giving’, the Company’s employee driven charity initiative which inspires giving and sharing in the Christmas season took the seasonal euphoria to the Adaklu Aboadi Salvation Army School in the Volta Region.

“Airtel employees engaged the school’s population in various activities. They took the pupils through a few lessons, sung nursery rhymes and Christmas carols and danced with the elated pupils,” Hannah Agbozo, Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Airtel said.

Airtel Ghana adopted the school under its School Adoption Programme to make a change in the quality of life and education of the children. Since it was adopted the school has seen massive improvement in teaching and learning as well as infrastructural development.

The ‘12 days of Giving’ is an employee led initiative supported by Airtel to support causes that employees recommend. Before December every year, employees nominate various causes to drive a change they wish to see in the lives of people and communities, and, the selected ones are supported by the Company as part of its corporate social responsibility activities in the festive season to bring joy to beneficiaries.

Airtel Ghana, through this initiative, will be supporting 12 different causes and projects in 12 days before Christmas across the country to show love to beneficiaries and spread the cheer of the yuletide to bring smiles and joy to the hearts of Ghanaians.

Airtel is Ghana’s fastest growing telecommunications company with unparalleled products and service offerings.

The company was recently awarded for Best Community Relations Programme and Best Company CSR – Education at the IPR and CSR Excellence awards respectively.
