All Share index in 146.89 points jump

Accra, Feb. 27, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange All Share Index went up by 146.89 points on the back of appreciable gains by the Ghana Commercial Bank, Fan Milk Limited, Guinness Ghana Limited and SSB Bank during Fridays trading.

The All-Share index moved to 4,633.14 points from 4,486.25 points during Wednesday trading.

The change in the year to date is 30.39 per cent. Total shares traded were 125,400 with Produce Buying Company selling 30,200 shares while Aluworks sold 28,200 shares with nine other equities also selling some shares.

On the broader market, there were nine price changes, all positive. Ghana Commercial Bank gained 1,002 cedis to end trading at 12,003 cedis; Fan Milk Limited was up by 550 cedis at 4,800 cedis; while SSB Bank and Guinness Ghana Limited got 500 cedis each at 22,000 cedis and 8,000 cedis, respectively.

The other gainers were; Aluworks which had 400 cedis at 4,000 cedis; Unilever got 100 cedis at 17,100 cedis and Home Finance Company gained 99 cedis at 6,500 cedis.

The rest were Produce Buying Company, which gained 69 cedis at 2,900 cedis and Cocoa Processing Company with 40 cedis gain at 851 cedis. Total issued shares were 3,077.05 million shares with Market Capitalization at 15,343.78 billion cedis.
