Alliance Motors Ghana in partnership with Barclays Bank launched their maiden edition of "Heels-on-Wheels" yesterday at the Alliance showroom.

The purpose of the event was to educate women about their choices in purchasing a luxurious car, the maintenance, and how to repair their cars when it breaks down on the road.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanaweb, the Product Manager of Barclays Bank, Mr. Prosper Akoto indicated that the bank helps in financing 80% of the price of the vehicles for their customers.

He added that once you open an account with the Barclays Bank, that individual is entitled to enjoy the packages they have for their customers.

"Once you open an account with Barclays Bank and you move your salary to us, you qualify'', he explained.

He emphasized that a person's salary determines the choice of a car he can purchase - a reason an intensive education will be rolled out for their customers.

"If you're a customer it does not necessarily mean you qualify to own a vehicle, it's your salary that will determine your choice of car".

Mr. Prosper also commended Alliance Motors for the durability, servicing, flexible, economical in terms of their charges.

Alliance Motors, which has been in Ghana for the past three years, is the sole distributor of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in Ghana.

The most innovative and luxurious vehicles in the world such as the Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Evoque, All New Discovery, Jaguar F Pace, Jaguar XF, and Jaguar XJ could be purchased at their end. Over the years they've centered on the male in terms of marketing and advertising.

However, for the women not to be left out, they introduced 'Heels on Wheels' of which they believe that imperative for the industry to be responsive to women and their individual needs while piquing their interest in cars.
