Aluworks loss forces Accra bourse down

Accra, Feb. 4, GNA - Another significant loss by Aluworks on Friday pushed the Accra bourse down by 15 points in quiet trading. The Ghana Stock Exchange All-Share Index, the main market indicator, ended trading at 6,847.22 points, the third successive loss in the week, while change for the year was down at 0.72 per cent. Aluworks lost another 1,000 cedis at 8,000 cedis but Benso Oil Palm Plantation gained 21 cedis at 6,705 cedis.

Traded shares were down at 345,600 shares from Wednesday's 487,500. Market capitalisation closed lower at 97,747.55 billion cedis from 97,788.50 billion cedis on Wednesday.
