The demolition of the Ambassador Hotel will begin next week to make way for the construction of a new hotel complex, the Minister for Tourism and Modernisation of the Capital City, Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, has said.
Work on the construction of the 250-room hotel complex, costing $100 million, would begin in September.
Mr Obetsebi Lamptey was speaking at the launch of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (Promotion of Tourism) Instrument, 2005, in Accra last Tuesday.
The legislative instrument (LI) is aimed at promoting tourism in the country.
