The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, has showered praises on Ghana’s immediate past Finance Minister, Dr. Amin Adam.
She commended him for his exceptional leadership and significant contributions to Ghana’s economic stability during his tenure.
The IMF boss made these remarks in a letter bidding farewell to the former minister.
She particularly lauded Dr. Adam for his commitment to the successful implementation of Ghana’s $3 billion IMF-supported program.
The program, she explained, helped restore Ghana’s macroeconomic stability and ensured debt sustainability.
“You have had a profound impact on Ghana and its citizens,” the IMF boss stated. “Your efforts have not only strengthened Ghana’s economy but also inspired confidence in the country’s future.”
According to her, Dr. Adam contributed immensely to ensuring long-term growth for the country and positively impacted Ghana’s financial outlook during the IMF-backed reforms.
“I have every confidence that you will continue to make a meaningful difference, particularly as you assume your role as a re-elected Member of Parliament. Your passion for public service and commitment to positive change will serve as a beacon of inspiration for many,” Ms. Georgieva added.
