Mr. Jabesh Amissah-Arthur has quit his position as the Chief Executive Officer of Bui Power Authority, in charge of the country’s second largest hydro dam.

In a memo to the staff of the authority, he said he is taking his terminal leave from today, Friday, January 27, 2017 as he prepares to leave office.

The brother of former Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur was appointed by the previous government in 2009.

“While arranging to hand over to the president’s representative as agreed with the minister, the Director for Programs and Engineering Department, Mr. Anthony Boye Osafo-Kissi, would be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Authority,” Mr. Amissah-Arthur’s memo read.

He also urged his staff to extend to Mr. Osafo-Kissi, their usual cooperation.

The Bui Power Authority was established by the Act of Parliament, BPA Act 740, 2007 with a mandate to plan, execute and manage the Bui Hydroelectric Project.
