Arboretum Ecotourism gradually gaining popularity

The Bunso Arboretum Ecotourism Centre, which has the second canopy walkway in the country, is gradually gaining popularity among local and foreign tourists.

The facility, which was inaugurated in July last year, has five bridges and it is 210 meters long and 35 meters high.

The last events which were organized by the center on February 14, March 6 and 7 recorded over 17,500 visitors.

Mr Kenneth Akuffo Acheampong, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Arboretum Ecotourism Centre who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, said the facility was solely private and called for other stakeholders to partner the centre to expand the facilities and raise the standard of the place to attract more tourists.

Mr Socrates Asare Frempong, Programmes and Marketing Manager of the Centre, said the centre was always opened on ordinary days and weekends.
