Japanese used car and spare parts dealer, BE FORWARD last Thursday announced its presence in Ghana. The auto dealer sells and exports used cars and auto parts to 150 countries in the world through its e-commerce website, www.beforward.jp.

At the inauguration of the company in Accra, the company’s Vice President in charge of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Eiichi Mizuyama said while BE FORWARD was new to the Ghanaian market, it would do its best to be the best online car dealer in the country.

The CEO of Xodus Communications, Mr. Richard Abbey Jnr said BE FORWARD exported more than 12,000 vehicles annually across the world through its online portal and was opening an office in Ghana to make it easier for persons who could not use the website.

He noted that the company was willing to engage used car dealers in Ghana as part of its marketing strategy to create more awareness of its operations.

Reward

The occasion was also used to reward the company’s highest importer to Ghana, Mr Kamal Aboagye who was rewarded with a KIA Picanto.

At a time the internet is full of fraudulent auto e-commerce sites, Mr Aboagye described BE FORWARD as “real”.

“I did a lot of search on the internet looking for affordable cars with low mileage and after several checks, including testimonials of their customers on their website, I realised that they were genuine”.

“I was very sceptical initially since at the time, I had not bought any car online before but after the first transaction, they won my confidence”.

He said exactly two months after fulfilling all the requirements after receiving a proforma invoice from the company, he cleared the car from the Tema Port.
