Pesident John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Randy Abbey as the Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Cocoa Board.
In a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, the appointment was made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 12(2) of the Ghana Cocoa Board Act, 1984 (PNDCL 81).
The appointment is pending the receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the Board of the Ghana Cocoa Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
Dr. Abbey’s appointment takes effect from January 21, 2025.
