Bawumia outlines government's plan to address unemployment

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reiterated government’s determination to address the problem of graduate unemployment in the country.

"In this regard, the National Builders Corps policy will employed 100000 graduates next year." he stated.

Dr. Bawumia was speaking at the 18th congregation of the University of Development Study, (UDS) at Dungu campus of the university.

He said the agriculture transformation policy of government is expected to turn the economy of the country around which will benefit people of the three region.

On road construction the Vice President announced that the road network in the region will be improved.

He mentioned them as Tamale Salaga ,Nalerigu Bunkurugu, Wa Tumu roads will be fixed next year.

He also mentioned the construction of bridges over the White Volta River at Daboya Nawuni Kpasemkpe all in the northern region.

According to Dr. Bawumia, bridges will be reconstructed over the White Volta at Yapei and the Black Volta at Buipe to facilitate the movement of goods and services in that part of the country.

He also gave the hint of, the construction of an interest change in the business area of the tamale metropolis.

He advised the grandaunds to see themselves as agents of change in their communities and the country at large.

The over two thousand graduands received certificates ranging from degrees in the sciences to humanities..
