Ghana has set aside the cedi equivalent of US$100 million to enhance its preparedness and response plans against the spread of coronavirus.
The West African nation is putting measures in place to counter the economic fallout of the global pandemic, President Nana Akufo-Addo said in a television broadcast on Wednesday.
Ghana is yet to record a confirmed case of the virus after 57 people suspected of having the diseases tested negative.
Immediate neighbors including Togo, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso have confirmed cases.
