Bono House of Chiefs sets up fund to improve the conditions of service of employees

The Bono Regional House of Chiefs has set up a revolving fund with a seed capital of GHC100,000 to improve the condition of service of employees of the House, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, the President of the House has said.

He directed the registry of the house to compile the monthly salary details and present them by the close of the year to enable the house to deliberate on it, and facilitate payments of additional monthly allowances to the employees.

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II, also the Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, gave the directive when he was addressing the end of year meeting of the House in Sunyani.

He explained that the house had resolved to contribute into the fund annually not only to ensure its sustainability, but also guarantee that the employees benefited from it to improve their living conditions.

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II expressed unhappiness about the poor condition of service of workers of the house, and further called on the government to do something immediately to improve it.

The President stressed the commitment of the chiefs to build a befitting hostel facility for the house, and commended the chiefs for their support and cooperation.

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II regretted that chieftaincy disputes in the region, particularly, that of the Nsoatre and Sampa Traditional Areas, remained a great concern, and prayed that the house would do more to tackle those disputes for the purposes of peace and development.

Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Bono Regional Minister, called on the house to do more to tackle the growing chieftaincy disputes, which threatened the peace of the region, and commended the chiefs and queens for their support towards the holistic development of the region.
