Bourse dips in see-saw performance

Accra, April 11, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) dipped again in trading on Wednesday in mixed trading that saw only two equities making movements, one positive and one negative.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, was down by 4.26 points at 6,354.87 points from 6,359.13 points on Monday and change for the year was also poorer at -6.53 per cent.

Shares traded were up at 698,000 on the back CAL Merchant Bank, which sold 441,600 of the shares. The number of shares that changed hands during Monday's trading was 102,300.

Mechanical Lloyd was down by 300 cedis at 2,700 while Clydestone gained 100 cedis at 1,300 cedis.

Market capitalisation was down at 96,394.47 billion cedis from Monday's close of 96,406.10 billion cedis from 3,663.51 million issued shares.
