Bourse inches up on PZ gain

Accra, April 11, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) inched up on Monday on a 50-cedi gain by Patterson Zochonis (PZ) in quiet trading as the bears continue to dominate the market.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, rose by 0.51 points at 6,359.13 points from 6,358.62 points on Friday and change for the year improved slightly at -6.46 per cent.

Shares traded were down at 102,300 from 354,200 that changed hands during Friday's trading.

PZ was the sole equity that saw a price change, a 50-cedi gain at 5,800 cedis.

Market capitalisation was better at 96,406.10 from 96,404.70 billion cedis on Friday from 3,663.51 million issued shares.
