Bourse slumps in another poor trading

Accra, April 25, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) slumped in trading on Monday in another poor trading that saw only 27,900 shares changing hands compared to the 85,500 shares that changed hands on Friday under heavy influence of bearish conditions.

The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure, lost 20.94 points at 6,283.61 from 6,304.55 points.

Change for the year ended lower at -7.57 per cent from Friday's close of -7.27 per cent.

Market capitalisation closed lower at 95,666.98 billion cedis from 96,257.11 billion cedis.

On the broader market, there were two price changes, both negative. Benso Oil Palm Plantation was down by 700 cedis at 6,300 cedis while CAL Bank lost 200 cedis at 3,200 cedis.
