Accra, March 23, GNA - The Howard County Economic Development Authority's International Trade Centre (ITC) is to host a Business Forum on Ghana on April 16.
The day's Conference dubbed: "Ghana Day 2004" has been scheduled for the Centre for Business and Technology Development, 9250 Bendix Road-North, Columbia, Maryland.
The Ghana Day 2004 Conference would include discussion of various incentives available to U.S. firms wishing to operate or invest in Ghana, the identification of products, services and technologies appropriate for Ghana, with particular focus on the IT/Telecommunications, Tourism/Hospitality and Agribusiness Industries.
A statement received in Accra from Ghana's Embassy in Washington, DC on Tuesday, said the Forum was in recognition to Ghana being recognized as the gateway to a growing West African Region. It said Ghana also provided enormous economic potential for local companies wishing to develop international trade opportunities. Speakers at the Forum would include Mr Isaac Aggrey, Acting Ghana Ambassador; Mr Johnson Adasi, Minister Counsellor of Trade and Investment and Mr Ivor Agyeman Duah, Minister Counsellor for Public Affairs.
This initiative by the Howard County Economic Development Authority's International Trade Centre is being presented in partnership with the African American Coalition of Howard County.
The others are, African Art Museum of Maryland-Institute of African Commerce and Culture; Embassy of Ghana; Maryland Department of Agriculture; Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development Office of International Trade, and U.S. Export Assistance Centre.
