CAL Bank continues sustain market index

Accra, March 31, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange All-Share Index, the main market indicator on the Accra bourse, gained 0.59 points during Friday trading on the strength of the continued recovery of CAL Bank shares.

The Index went up to 4,764.07 points from 4,763.48 points on Thursday. Change for the year to date was better at -0.10 per cent. Volume of shares traded jumped to 1,109,100 from 37,200 on Thursday with Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) alone selling 1,060,800 shares.

Market capitalisation moved up to 91,935.38 billion cedis from 91,933.80 billion cedis. On the broader market, there were two price changes - both positive.

CAL Bank gained 10 cedis at 1,930 cedis while Enterprise Insurance Company gained one cedi at 6,871 cedis.
