CAL Bank gain pushes up index

Accra, March 15, GNA - An impressive gain by CAL Bank in trading on Wednesday pushed up the main stock index, although trading was dull. The GSE All-Share Index, main stock index, went up by 7.97 points at 4,748.80 points from 4,740.83 points while change for the year was better at -0.42 per cent. Market capitalisation ended up at 91,894.82 billion cedis from 91,873.72 billion cedis on Tuesday.

Total shares traded ended far lower at 93,300 from 403,200 on Tuesday. There was only one price change, a 136-cedi gain by CAL Bank at 1,701 cedis, as the recovery of the equity continued.
