CDH Balanced Fund outperforms Treasury Bill benchmark – CDH boss

Group Chief Executive Officer of CDH Financial Holdings, Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodee, has announced that his outfit continues to outperform the benchmark Treasury Bill and other investment vehicles, as well as delivering yields above the rate inflation.

According to him, the achievement is due to his outfit’s consistency in positing significant returns on yearly basis since its inception in 2015.

The CDH Balanced Fund for the year 2017 recorded a return of 33.69% compared with 32.96% in 2016. Funds under management also shot up by 9.53% due to aggressive digital marketing and outreach effort by the Fund Manager.

He said, “We will continue to build shareholder value, through an investment portfolio that is structured to ensure financial stability for the medium to long term.”

He added that the Fund Manager’s readiness to commit to prudent investments that bear moderate risk will ensure the delivery of good returns.

The outgoing Board Chairman of the CDH Balanced Fund made the assertion at the 3rd Annual General Meeting of members of the Fund in Accra today.



Mr Adu-Sarkodee said the effort by Managers will be supported by dedicated research and brokerage services offered by CDH Securities Ltd, another outstanding member of the CDH Group.

Executive Director of CDH Asset Management Limited, Seth Aryitey, expressed his pleasure to announce a 100% return on investments in less than three years.

The Fund Manager, in his report, said funds performed as one of the best Balanced Funds, according to industry data compiled from all leading asset management companies in Ghana.

He disclosed that shareholders’ funds increased from GHC1.90m in 2016 to GHC3.71m in 2017.



The Director emphasized that as the Fund Manager, CDH Balanced Fund will continue to “execute strategies, objectives and policies formulated by the Board of the Fund to provide medium to long term growth in income for shareholders by investing in the right combination of fixed income instruments and stocks that are listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange.”
