The Chamber of Independent Power Producers, Distributors and Bulk Consumers (CIPDiB) has congratulated the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) for its significant jump in the revenue collection in the first week of December.
The ECG last week on its confidential recording sheet, collected GHC147 million as bills from customers in various regions of operation, a figure that indicated a phenomenal increase from the previous weeks.
"This is despite a host of challenges since the return of its distribution services from the Power Distribution Services (PDS)
A statement signed by Mr Elikplim Kwabla Apetorgbor, Chief Executive Officer of the CIPDiB on Monday and copied to the Ghana News Agency said said: " we would like to congratulate the leadership and staff of ECG for the significant jump in their revenue collection last week."
"We will like to take this opportunity to wish you well and hope this relieving news is recurrent going forward, whilst taking practical and fair steps to honor your weekly payment obligations on time, for continuous and reliable supply".
