Nana Kwame Bediako popularly known as Cheddar, leader of The New Force, has launched his manifesto for Ghana’s economic transformation.

The manifesto, dubbed “12 Pillars For Economic Freedom” and launched on September 1st, emphasizes the need for energy independence, with Bediako citing, “No energy, no technology.”

“We need to build pipelines and it’s very crucial to support the energy system and the infrastructure,” Bediako said, highlighting the significant role of energy in driving industrialization and technological advancement.

He also stressed the need for Ghana to leverage its natural resources, including uranium, to establish itself as a key player in the global energy market. Mr. Bediako’s manifesto also focuses on the development of a technology hub, which he believes will enable Ghana to produce its own technological gadgets and create jobs. “We have the minerals already, we just need to make sure that we put this plant and get this energy and produce these products,” he said.

The technology hub, according to Mr. Bediako, will not only produce mobile phones and laptops but also support data centers for crypto farming and tokenization. “We will tokenize, we will mine digital coins, we will mint,” he said, emphasizing the potential for Ghana to become a leader in the digital economy.
