Shenzhen-based ZTE Corporation, a leading telecommunications equipment manufacturer, will construct Ghana's first distance-learning network in cooperation with Cape Coast University, Ghana's principal institute of education, the company announced yesterday.

Completion of the first phase of the network, built with ZTE's EduStation distance-learning solution, will use 27 network nodes to provide new educational opportunities to students across Ghana. EduStation is capable of providing both remote real-time, in-class lecture sessions and after-class content for daily educational needs.
