Chinese To Invest In Soya Beans Sector

- Says Ghana Business & Finance

A Chinese investor, Mr Williams So, has announced plans to invest in the Ghanaian soya beans sector and then transform it into an enviable hub in the West Africa sub-region, the latest issue of Business & Finance Magazine (GB&F) has reported.

Mr So was in Ghana recently to visit a number of sites in the Northern Region earmarked for the soya beans business, whose first phase is expected to commence this year, GB&F has added.

The June 2012 issue of Ghana's first global business magazine, GB&F, also highlights the increasing pressure mounting on the Government of Ghana not to sign on the dotted line, the interim Economic Partnership Agreement (ECA), which appears to be the main instrument holding the hope for EU’s increased trade with Ghana.

The upscale monthly business magazine further highlights how Africa’s indigenous banking institutions have in recent years surpassed their Western rivals in many parts of Africa and try to tell its readers the causes of this new trend. It also featured a story on the ailing poultry industry and how the local hen is crowing against invasion of its territory by foreign ones.

Also featured in the June issue is an article on how the interior design business is fast taking shape in Ghana. The article questions how many Ghanaians are aware of the business prospects of this budding venture. GB&F also published an article on how the challenge of unqualified university graduates searching for high-level jobs may be ending as the Dominion University College through its faculty and board can serve as role models to assist students to find employment upon graduation.

The June issue of GB&F further takes a critical look at how SADA has embarked upon various programmes to change the fortunes of the Northern Savanna Ecological Zone (NSEZ). In this article, the long-awaited story of SADA is told in full.

An interesting article on Turkey, which has been described by many as a land for all tastes, is also published in the latest edition of the GB&F magazine.

GB&F also publishes a report on how Danadams Pharmaceuticals Industry Limited wants to become one of West Africa’s leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical products and facts regarding how Ghana has leveraged on the current economic boom in Africa to attract more investment. Other articles in the magazine include how sports is becoming very lucrative in Ghana and Africa, among others.
