Commercial Bank to introduce more products

Agona Swedru, Dec 23, GNA - The Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) is to introduce more products in an addition to the "Kudi nkosuo", which cater for a large number of customers in the informal sector to expand their businesses.

Mr Isaac Kwesi Ocran, Agona Swedru Branch Manager of the Bank who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the GCB wanted to take advantage of its monopoly as the only commercial bank operating in the district.

Mr Ocran said the bank had installed an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) to offer a 24-hour service.

He stated that installation of the Automatic Teller Machine could go a long way to end people travelling to Cape Coast and Accra to transact money transfer business.

The Manager said the Bank was also increasing space in the banking hall for its customers to reduce congestion. Mr Ocran pointed out that at the opening of every school term and University semester, students especially from the University of Education, Winneba crowd the bank to purchase banker's draft to pay their fees.

The Manager noted that work had also been completed to create a bigger car park for both customers and staff. Mr Ocran urged the Swedru Central Market women to take advantage of the bank's facilities to expand their businesses to enable them pay their children's school fees and other related social issues.
