Committee Report To Be Laid Before Parliament

A report of the Parliamentary Committee on Mines and Energy on the Stability Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Ghana and Anglo-Gold Limited of the Republic of South Africa is to be laid before Parliament tomorrow (February 10, 2004).

According to the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Majority Leader, Hon. Felix Owusu Agyepong, a motion for the adoption of the Committee’s report will be moved on Thursday February 12, 2004.

Also debate on the 2004 Budget will commence on Tuesday February 10th 2004 and end on Friday February 13, 2004. the Minister of Energy, Hon. Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Hon. Kojo Baah Wiredu, the Communication Minister Hon. Ken Dapaah and the Minister for Roads and Transport, Dr. Richard Anane will all appear before the House this week to answer various questions from members of Parliament.
