The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sefwi-Wiawso, Mr. Lawrence Ackah Santanah, has urged contractors awarded jobs in the area to speed up work on those projects to transform the lives of the people.
He asked that they make sure that they delivered on schedule and that there should also be value for money.
Mr. Santanah warned that the assembly would not accept shoddy work and would always insist on quality.
He said this during an inspection tour of a number of projects to assess the progress of work.
These include the rehabilitation and construction of culverts on the 1.8 kilometre Dwinase-Onwekrom feeder road, gravelling of the Dwinase and Asawinso lorry stations, building of a pavilion for the Reproductive and Child Health Unit of the Sefwi-Wiawso Government Hospital, school block at Breku-Line and reception for the Sefwi-Wiawso Office of the National Health Insurance Scheme.
The funding is coming from the assembly’s share of the District Development Fund (DDF).
Mr. Santanah said they were determined to provide more development projects to enhance the socio-economic situation of the people.
Already, the assembly has successfully completed a number of schools, water and sanitation infrastructure.
