The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Marketers Association says it will not be affected by the government's decision to partially lockdown parts of the country to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus outbreak.
According to a statement by the Association of LPG marketers and sighted by GhanaWeb, they are pleading with the public to desist from massing up at pumps with the hope of buying more than they urgently need.
"We therefore plead with the public to desist from massing up at our pumps with the hope of buying more than what is urgently needed. We are worried that the queues at these pumps may aid the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) and endanger you our dear customers."
"We care about your health and safety and that is why we hope you will heed our plea to stop the panic buying." portions of the statement read.
