Corporate organisations donate to schools

The Dsani Foundation, ghanacompares.com both corporate organisations and two schools in the Netherlands – De Harlekijn and De Zevensprong have donated educational materials to schools in three regions of the country.

The items include; furniture, desktop computers and accessories and stationeries at a total estimated cost of GHC 60,000.

The beneficiary schools are Rokai Memorial Academy at Teshie in Accra, Assin Adubiase Methodist School in the Central Region and a school at Mpraeso in the Eastern Region.

At the presentation of the items to the Rokai Memorial Academy, Nii Nmai Dsani, the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of the Dsani Foundation said the gesture formed part of his orgnisation’s corporate responsibility to complement government’s efforts at providing quality education.

He said there was a lot to be done to enhance education in the country and gave the assurance that he would do all within his means to help advance teaching and learning for the development of the nation.

He said his wife; Madam Lawrencia Dsani was of a great help in mobilising the educational materials.

Mr Okoe Boye Laryea, the Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku in Accra and Naa Aheeni Clerk, the Municipal Director of Education of the area jointly received the items on behalf of the Rokai Memorial Academy and expressed gratitude to the donors.




Mr Boye Laryea in an interview with the Ghana News Agency said he was committed to quality education in the area and that he was making every effort by creating the enabling environment to uplift teaching and learning.

Naa Aheeni Clark asked the authorities of the school to put the items into good use and to ensure their maintenance.
