The year 2019 has been a tough for Courier Operators under the National Courier Association after the Postal and Courier Services Regulatory Commission in collaboration with the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate conducted two swoops to clamp down unregistered courier operators.

After several discussions between the Association and the Commission, we presented a petition to the commission to review pricing structure for licensing fee to enable Courier Operators yet to register with the Commission also have a license to operate.

Unfortunately, the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate have made work difficult for Courier Operators.

Courier Operators do not have peace of mind running business smoothly and effectively, which has caused huge loss to businesses.

The heart of the Association’s argument is for the MTTD to reconsider the fact that business holds when there are delays from their outfit.

As service operators, our priority is to ensure parcels delivered to the last mile and provide satisfaction for customers.

The Association is prepared to be out as long as we “Fight for what is right” so business operators would have peace in their daily operations to serve customers with ease.
