Croatia firm to supply telecom poles to Ghana

Croatian company Dalekovod signed a contract on delivery of 4.200 tonnes of metal construction consisted of 279 pieces of telecommunication poles of different heights from 30 to 150 metres to Ghana, while contracted delivery period extends to 3 months, 'CT' reports.

This represents the largest single export deal to be signed in the past several years by Dalekovod, which covers exports of the company's products manufactured in the company's factories in Croatia. In the past three years, the company increased exports of metal constructions four times, and by the end of May this year exports have risen by 30 percent to overall exports reported by the company in 2005.

Furthermore, Siemens Com and Alcatel France have selected Dalekovod as the preferred supplier of poles for the region of Europe, middle and near East and Africa.

Dalekovod is also certified to export products to Island, Norway and Poland, and should be included in the list of vendors by E.ON ? the largest electricity supplier and distributor in Europe, which covers the region from Baltic to Black Sea.
