Dr. Adu Anane Antwi, leader of the Locked Up Funds Investments Holders Forum, has dismissed Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam’s apology for the government’s handling of the Domestic Debt Exchange Program (DDEP) and the current economic hardship as empty words.

According to Dr. Anane, the Minister’s apology is nothing more than a hollow gesture, given his lack of action in addressing the plight of Ghanaians whose investments have been locked up in financial institutions.

Dr. Anane emphasized that only tangible positive change can render the apology sincere.

“So, you do all these things and later on come and apologize, if you have apologized do the right things subsequently. Now we are here are money is not coming we want to have a meeting with you, we have written we are not getting the meeting, your staff is avoiding us so an apology without changing the way you are behaving as a ministry is meaningless," he started.
