The Acting Commissioner of Insurance, Michael Kofi Andoh, has urged homeowners and business owners to prioritize insurance as a means of achieving economic and business stability.

He made this statement during the launch of 'Home/Office 360 Insurance,' a product developed and underwritten by Priority Insurance Company, a licensed insurance company in Ghana.

Andoh also commended Priority Insurance Company and its strategic partner, Irisk Insurance Brokers, for introducing this innovative insurance policy that provides support to individuals in case of mishaps in their homes and offices.

“I entreat the general public to take advantage of the opportunity to insure their electronic gadgets and other belongings in their homes and offices,” the Acting NIC Commissioner said.

Priority Insurance introduced the Home/Office 360 Insurance, a micro-insurance product targeting SMEs, tenants, shop owners, and the general public against fire and allied perils.

Additionally, the Home/Office 360 Insurance policy offers coverage for various assets and belongings of households and businesses against natural and man-made perils such as fire, burglary, third-party legal liability, family personal accident, death, etc.

During the product launch, the Managing Director of Priority Insurance Company, Matthew Kwaku Atta Aidoo, explained that the Home/Office 360 Insurance is a flexible package that allows homeowners and tenants to customise a plan that suits their individual needs for only GH¢360 per annum for contents, public liability, and personal accident.

He emphasised that the company views insurance as more than just a business transaction; it is a commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and prosperity of individuals and businesses.

The event was attended by industry dignitaries, including Seth Kobla Aklasi, President of the Ghana Insurers Association (GIA), and Ms. Sheila Wristberg, CEO of Irish Management Ltd, the insurance broker in the strategic partnership with Priority Insurance.
