Dr. Kofi Amoah, Sammy Awuku win top awards at Forty Under 40 Gala

Dr. Kofi Amoah Abban was crowned winner of the Young Leaders Award whiles National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku won an award in Governance at the second edition of the Forty Under 40 awards night held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra on Saturday.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Rigworld and its subsidiary won two awards on the night which included an award in Oil and Gas. Ghana’s Gospel Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle won the music award whiles D. Black won an award in hospitality.

Country Manager of Betway Ghana, Kwabena Oppong-Nkrumah was awarded the Sales, Marketing and Advertising accolade alongside the Men’s People’s Choice award. Raashida Saani also scooped two awards in Communications plus the Women’s Choice award.

The Awards Gala which is an initiative of Xodus Communications Limited brought together about 350 guests. The Awards Night is aimed at identifying, honouring and celebrating a cross-section of the nations most influential and accomplished young business leaders under age forty from a wide range of industries, who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community service and have risen through the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age.



Speaking on the night, Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal advised Young Entrepreneurs to engage government agencies in order to stay in the business for long. He also revealed that plans where far advanced to create a GHC200 million fund to support.

Chief Executive Officer for Xodus Communications, Richard Abbey Jnr said, Xodus Communications Limited would continue to celebrate and give opportunities to the next generation of industry pacesetters whiles building a positive attitude in the youth to strive for excellence at a tender age.

Other awards were handed to various sectors such as banking and finance, health and wellness, human resource and development, education, Insurance, Investment and pensions, law among others.
