Dr. Kwaku Oteng wins big at 3rd Ghana Chamber of Commerce Business Awards

The President and Founder of the Angel Group of Companies, Dr Kwaku Oteng has been adjudged by the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCC) as its ‘2018 Exceptional Leader in Promoting Indigenous Businesses.’ Mypurefmonline.com reports.

The GNCC is an association of business operators, firms and industries representing the voice of the business community with total commitment to playing a leadership role towards propelling Ghana’s economy to higher heights.

The chamber has impressively grown from a membership of 14 in 1888 to about 5,000 today since its incorporation serving as the representative organ of the business community and the voice of the organised private sector in Ghana.

It has continued to play significant roles in the economic growth and development of Ghana influencing government policies to benefit the private sector and promote the overall development of the Ghanaian economy.

In its third annual edition of the Chamber’s awards held under the theme ‘Digitising the Ghanaian Economy for Competitive Edge In Globalized Markets’, President of the GNCC, Nana Dr. Appiagyei Dankwawoso I praised Dr Kwaku Oteng for his industrious work and success story of his Angel Group of Companies which covers different facets of the Ghanaian economy, ranging from the manufacturing sector all through to the Transportation sector and the Media broadcasting sector.

The Chamber President in presenting the award in his honour revealed that the Chamber has taken notice of his immense contribution towards the growth of the Ghanaian economy by employing hundreds of Ghanaians through his companies and showing that, indigenous companies can compete on the global scene with good management and local support.

He credited him with the success story of locally manufactured herbal medicines now accepted and competing with orthodox medicines as the market successes of his products especially Angel Cream and Angel Soap has helped to consolidate the belief in the efficacy of locally manufactured medicinal products.

“If today, our media landscape is filled with advertisement of locally manufactured herbal medicines, it can be attributed to the work you started almost two decades ago when you introduced unto the Ghanaian market Angel Herbal products.
