The President of Groupe Nduom, (GN), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, says the disaster that struck his company in April last year has created wider opportunities for him and renewed his faith in God.

Speaking at the commissioning of the newly constructed offices of Groupe Nduom, Dr Nduom expressed gratitude to God for giving him the strength to go through those difficult moments as well as the resources to rebuild the offices that were destroyed by the fire.

“It is only by the grace of that we have gathered here to witness this happy occasion. As we always do, Jeremiah 29:11 states that ‘For I know the plans I have for you, Says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you and hope and a future.’ It is sad that out of evil comes good and this is a case that fits. Sometimes when one door closes, another door opens and in this case the door He opened wider doors to allow other opportunities to come”.

“And so today from the ashes of the fire, something positive has come alive, vibrant, strong and clear demonstration that the spirit God gave us give us power to overcome all difficulties,” he said.

It will be recalled that on 22nd April 2017, fire destroyed parts of the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.

The parts that got consumed by the fire included the offices of the Ridge branch of GN Bank, Gold Coast Securities, BTA and Amansan Televisions.

Less than a year after the unfortunate incident, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom and his team have held a ceremony to mark the rebirth of those offices.

In attendance were the Vice Executive Chairperson of Coconut Grove Hotels, Mrs Yonne Nduom, executives of GN Bank, Gold Coast Securities and the manager of GN Media.
