Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dr. Sangu Delle has criticised the economic policies of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This was when he responded to a supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who was promoting Bawumia’s 33 policies.

In a heated exchange on X, Dr. Delle highlighted the severe economic challenges facing Ghana, including the Ghanaian cedi’s exchange rate reaching GH₵16 to the US dollar and the country’s recent debt default.

He emphasised the widespread financial strain felt by Ghanaians and urged the NPP supporters to respect the public's intelligence, stating, "We are not fools."

He stated, “33 policies yet the dollar is at 16, we defaulted on our debt, and everyone is feeling the pinch. By all means, do your Footsoldier work (man must eat), but please don’t insult our intelligence. We are not fools.”

This criticism adds to the ongoing debate about the effectiveness of the current administration’s economic strategies and their impact on the daily lives of Ghanaians.
