Accra, July 25, GNA - The GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, rose 8.57 points to close at 1,186.72 points from 1,178.15 points.
The gain puts the year-to-date at 18.67 per cent.
The GSE-Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI), which tracks the performance of listed financial stocks, also went up by 11.31 points to 1,147.20 points from 1,135.89 points with corresponding year-to-date change of 14.72 per cent.
There were five price changes - three up and two down.
Ecobank Ghana gained GH¢0.02 to GH¢3.46, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated went up GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.15 and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was up GH¢0.02 to GH¢1.48.
Benso Oil Palm Plantation was down GH¢0.03 to GH¢0.80 and Ghana Commercial Bank slipped GH¢0.01 to GH¢2.96.
Market Capitalisation was up at GH¢20,442.44 million cedis.
More than four million shares are traded, valued at 2.09 million cedis.
